DONE-FOR-YOU EMAIL MARKETING

Email Marketing Management

Your list is probably the most valuable asset in your business, and for most people it is also the one sitting idle. I clean it up, build the automations, segment the people on it, program your newsletter, and watch the data every month so the whole thing runs without you thinking about it.

Nerd Note: I read your email stats and your GA4 side by side. Open rates tell you what people clicked on in their inbox. GA4 tells you what they did once they landed on your site. The gap between those two numbers is where next month's strategy comes from.

You own your email list. You do not own your followers.

Most email accounts I open look the same way. One giant list with everyone dumped into it. A welcome sequence that got built two years ago and never turned back on. Forms scattered across the site that all feed the same place, so a person who downloaded a freebie gets the same emails as a person who already paid you. Six months go by without a newsletter going out, and when one finally does, the unsubscribe rate stings.

That is not a writing problem. It is a plumbing problem. I go in, sort out the structure, build the automations that should have been running the whole time, and then keep watching the numbers so the system gets sharper every month instead of going stale.

What I handle

Scope varies by business, but this is the shape of the work. Your custom proposal spells out exactly which pieces you need.

Email marketing strategy built around your actual offers
Account cleanup: duplicates, dead contacts, tangled lists
Segmentation so the right people get the right emails
Forms and opt-ins built, styled, and connected properly
Welcome and nurture automations for every entry point
Exit automations, so buyers stop getting pitched what they bought
Branded HTML templates so every send looks like you
Newsletter programming, scheduling, and testing
Subscriber support: duplicate sends, unsubscribes that will not stick, bounces
Monthly reporting from your email platform and GA4 together
Strategy adjustments each month based on what the data showed
Extra launch emails programmed at no additional cost
One thing I do not do

I do not write your email copy. Your voice is one of the few things a competitor cannot copy, and it should stay yours. I bring the strategy, the outlines, the subject line angles, the build, and the analysis. You bring the words. If you would rather hand the writing off entirely, I am happy to recommend a copywriter.

Setup and cleanup are included in the monthly rate rather than billed separately. Final scope and price come from your custom proposal after we talk.

Why there is no buy button No two email accounts are in the same shape. A product business with 12,000 subscribers and abandoned cart flows is a different job than a service business with 400 people and one form. So every engagement starts with a 45 to 60 minute chat, and you get a written proposal with your real scope and price after it.
Platforms

Where I work

I work in MailerLite, Flodesk, and Kit most often. If you are on something else, that is usually fine. What matters is that your plan actually includes automations and segmentation, because plenty of starter tiers do not, and no amount of strategy gets around that. If you are not sure what you are on or what you need, I will look at it with you and help you land on the right tool before you spend another month paying for the wrong one.

MailerLite Flodesk Kit (ConvertKit) Your platform, most likely

Your software subscription stays in your name and is billed to you, not me. You keep ownership of your list and your account.

Is This Right for You?

Email Marketing Management Fits If You…

Have a list you have been meaning to do something with for a long time now

Can write in your own voice but do not want to touch the technical side of it

Sell products, services, or both, and want each type of buyer treated differently

Are tired of fielding emails about duplicate sends and unsubscribes that did not work

Launch a few times a year and want the email side handled without a surprise invoice

Want to see the numbers every month instead of wondering whether email is working

Probably Not for You If…

You want someone to write the emails for you. That is a copywriter, and it is a different hire. I can point you toward one.

You have no list, no offers, and no traffic yet. Build one of those first, then the automations have something to work with.

You bought a list, or you are looking for someone to email people who never opted in. I will not do that, and it will wreck your deliverability anyway.

The Process

How It Works

Dana Skalin, email marketing strategist
1

A 45 to 60 minute chat

We go through what you sell, how people find you, what platform you are on, and what shape your account is actually in. Bring your logins if you want me to look at it live. This is where I figure out whether the job is a tidy-up or a rebuild.

2

Your custom proposal

You get a written proposal with the exact scope, the exact monthly rate, what is included, what is not, and the timeline for the first 90 days. Nothing vague. If the number does not work, tell me and we will look at what to cut.

3

Foundation month

Intake form, account access, full audit of what exists. Then the cleanup, the new group structure, the design direction, and your templates. By the end of month one your welcome sequence is live.

4

Running and reporting

Automations built out, newsletter on a cadence, subscriber issues handled as they come in. Every month you get a report pulling from your email platform and GA4, plus what I want to change next and why.

Let's look at your account together.

Book a chat, bring your questions, and we will work out what your email actually needs. You get a written proposal after, with real numbers.

Common Questions

The answers before you book.

Why is there no fixed price? +

Because the work is genuinely different depending on what you sell and how many people are on your list. A service business with 400 subscribers and two entry points is a smaller build than a product business with 12,000 subscribers, a shop, and abandoned cart flows. $597 is the floor. The chat is how we find your real number, and it goes in writing before you commit to anything.

Do you write the emails? +

No. I send you outlines, angles, and subject line options, and you write the copy in your voice. Then I build it, brand it, test it, and schedule it. Your readers can tell the difference between your words and someone else's, and that difference is worth protecting. If you would rather not write, I can recommend a copywriter to work alongside me.

What happens during a launch? +

Your rate stays the same. Programming the extra emails a launch needs is included, so a busy month costs you exactly what a quiet month costs you. All I ask is that you loop me in before it starts so I can plan around it.

Do I need to be on MailerLite? +

No. MailerLite, Flodesk, and Kit are where I work most often, but I can work in most platforms. The one requirement is that your plan supports automations and segmentation, since some entry-level tiers lock those behind an upgrade. If you are not sure, bring it to the call and we will check together. I am also happy to help you pick a platform if you are starting fresh or moving off one that is not serving you.

Who pays for the email software? +

You do, and the account stays in your name. Your list is your asset and it should never live inside someone else's login. I work as a team member or user inside your account, and if we ever part ways, everything I built stays with you.

What if a subscriber has a problem? +

Send them my way. Duplicate emails, an unsubscribe that did not take, someone getting a sequence they should have exited, a bounce that keeps repeating. These are usually symptoms of a structural issue, so I fix the individual complaint and then fix whatever caused it. That is part of the monthly rate, not an extra.

What's the minimum commitment? +

3 months. Month one is almost entirely foundation work, so a shorter term would mean paying for the build and leaving before it earns anything back. After the minimum you go month to month.

How do you measure whether it's working? +

Two sources, read side by side. Your email platform gives me opens, clicks, growth by entry point, and which sequences are pulling their weight. GA4 tells me what those clickers did once they hit your site: which pages, how long, and whether they converted. Open rates on their own can look great while nothing happens downstream, which is why I want both. That combined read is what shapes the following month's plan.

Can I add other services on top? +

Yes, and monthly clients get 50% off my focused services. Email tends to pair well with a Website SEO Audit, since the traffic your emails send has to land somewhere worth landing. Don't buy through the site, just email me and I'll add it to your contract at the discount.
